Oh my... a friend of mine has gone to the darkside! The VERY darkside!

This friend of mine from back east... I haven't heard from her in awhile and her email address went dead. Today, I get this email from mutual friend announcing that she had made an online photo album of her infant daughter who just turned 9 months old today. :) In addition to myself, she also sent the email to several other aquaintances and I noticed that my long lost mate was included. Elated, I then noticed that the domain address seemed to be her business which is screen printing t-shirts. So I type in the URL and my jaw hit the floor...

I would speculate that some peoples' sexual longings don't have rigid boundaries with respect to gender. Perhaps your ex-lesbo friend made a conscious decision to go the other way...either that or she was coerced, due to some type of hardship she was experiencng. Possibly, someone suggested to her that the lifestyle she was living was the cause of this hardship.

It's also possible that she's still a lesbian, but decided to live a heterosexual lifestyle due to peer pressure. That would be very sad.

I hate to think that anyone has a mate that they don't desire. But think about it: if that were the case, that a person were to choose a mate because of cosmic coercion, think of the deep seeded resentment that person would feel toward others who chose to follow their feelings.

Those are some of the most dangerous people in the world.

If not, it sounds as if your friend drank the Kool-Ade, so to speak. I pity her, and those like her, and pray for their condemned souls on a daily basis.

I'm stunned - utterly stunned.

I'm not excusing her behavior; but I imagine it must be tremendously difficult for GLBTs to listen to the hate talk that's spewed at them day in and day out, and not wish occasionally that they were somebody other than the person they are.

Or maybe she's not a lesbian...perhaps her affairs with women occurred at a time when she wasn't sure who she was, and now she feels guilty and embarrassed by her confusion. If that's the case, I hope she soon realizes that she has nothing to feel guilty about, and that her current group of "friends" are ignorant assholes.

I'm sorry for the loss of your friendship...maybe one day she'll turn around. :hug:
