Thanks all from the McLargehuges

To all my friends here at DU, Mrs. McLargehuge and I would like to extend our humble thanks for your gifts of compassion, sympathy, and love during this most rotten day. The outpouring of love and support surprised even me, and provided a much needed boost for Mrs. McLargehuge’s spirits. We are humbled by your gracious friendship.

My wife knows DU only through me, though I think tomorrow she may very well register her own account after experiencing the wonderful strength and unity we received from you all today.

it’s hard to put the depth of our feelings into words other than to say, simply, thank you. I do not think we would have made it through the day psychologically intact were it not for you.

There is no need to reply to this message, you have helped us enough. I’ve tried to answer the flood of e-mails we received after posting the saga of our miscarriage, and if I missed anyone, I appologize.

If someone could give this a kick every now and then to increase the chances that those who helped us get through the day receive our thanks we would be most grateful.

Sounds like you're a great husband - I have every hope that you and Mrs. BigGiant or whatever you call her will recover from this pain and bring forth a new child.

9 1/2 months later, she gave birth to my nephew. Good luck, Mr. and Mrs. BigMclargehuge. Keep trying as soon as you are ready.

but I don't know anything about pregnancies so I didn't respond. I don't know what to say other than my thoughts are with you.

I hadn't read the other thread since I've never been pregnant and couldn't offer any assistance.
