Poll question: Which is more important? Sex or Sports
I found this poll in a Sports Illustrated Article about Delaware.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/magazine/features/si50/states/delaware/ (look at the bottom right corner)

Which is more important to you - sports or sex?
Sports 17%
Sex 55%
Decline to answer 28%

So let's see what the trend is here with DU!!

6. Miami vs. Fla. State game in '95 or '96
I and my then girlfriend were housesitting for a friend of hers. They had just gotten two little kittens so we spent the weekend there.

Saturday afternoon I am half studying and half watching the game and she is reading, we are in the bed and well....slap tickle....and its ON!

Yeah honey that's great can you move a little to your right?

So I am laying there watching the game having sex thinking damn if I only had a beer and a smoke I'd be set. Well I couldn't think of a good excuse to go get a beer at this point and get away with it, and there was no smoking in the house. That's when I saw the confused expressions on the head tilted bewildered faces of the kittens sitting on the edge of the bed.

8. both
Having Sex is more important than watching sports

But participating in sports is more important than watching sex

participating in sex or sports are pretty close. Sports last longer but you tend to get less injured in sex.

9. I can get sports ANYTIME; I can't get sex anytime...
Plus, a hot date beats ANY sporting event. Er, I might have to make that hot date to watch the Super Bowl if I have to, but any other sporting event is beaten by the hot date.

12. Both together is the best.
My hubby & I have our own 1/2 time tradition. Well when we are watching football at home. We were asked to leave on Nebraska game when we tried to celebrate our way during half time, so now it's only at "home" games.

15. My thoughts exactly...
I don't have to spend hours getting my bicycle "ready", nor do I need to spend hours cuddling it afterwards.

And I can ride my bike every day if I want to!

16. And it doesn't care if you ride another one!
(this thought inspired me to adapt the following from a list of motorcycle 'jokes' - DISCLAIMER: I love womwn! Misogynists SUCK!!!) :D

It doesn't get mad when you ignore it for a month or so.

It won't leave you for another rider.

If you say bad things to your bike, you don't have to apologize before you can ride it again.

It always feels like going for a ride.

It doesn't care how many other bikes you've ridden.

It doesn't insult you if you're a bad rider.

It doesn't mind if you look at other bikes, or if you buy bike magazines.

When riding, you and your bike both arrive at the same time.

You can ride a bike as long as you want and it won't get sore.

You can share your bike with your friends.

You don't have to be jealous of the guy that works on your bike.

Your bike doesn't care what you're wearing when you take it out.

26. The sign is only really frightening to people who probably shouldn't
be playing on the internet in the first place.

The information it shows you is what is seen by EVERY web site you visit. It does NOT show you where you are working, just the ISP that connects you to the WEB. And what a kooshy job to be able to play on DU this much at work.

28. Some of us
Edited on Fri Sep-12-03 06:00 PM by ForrestGump
have very specific connections to very specific servers that can give someone an ID straight away. My occupation and location are extremely specific (and I am on my workplace's server 24 hours a day...there is no 'kooshy'-ness involved) - not to put too fine a point on it - and if you know either one you can figure out who I am within a few minutes, if that. I was not amused to see my information displayed for - I assumed at first shock - all the world to see.

I realized (only after I alerted the mods to zap your post above) that your little device was mirroring my information ONLY to me. Still, the anxiety that it caused me prior to that realization was unnecessary and I don't think that another x-hundred or x-thousand other DUers need to have their info flashed back at them and assume that you are publishing their details for all to see. It's not funny and it's liable to lead to your perfectly innocuous (as above) or interesting contributions being deleted as DUers who feel singled out send a knee-jerk alert to the moderators. Please get rid of the damned thing.

Thanks...

EDIT: could have sworn your post was toasted, but there it is and another one's been removed instead. Whatever...that signature's still way beyond obnoxious, even if the moderators think it's okay.

41. According to my A&P2 instructor
Yesterday-Dr. Lewke, my A&P2 (anatomy and physiology, "pt. 2")just confirmed what a lot of us already knew (or suspected): That sexual intercourse (and a man's quest to give his woman the "Ten Minute Orgasm") burns the most harmful of triglycerides made by LDL, the process that gives us those "love handles" for fat is the last thing you metabolize (your body "prefers" to burn proteins FIRST).

I figured at first he was going for laughs, but he didn't mention much any other aerobic activity other than that and sprinting. Truthfully, I'd rather screw than jog for 5 miles a day.
