Naval technician Chris Cranmer, 24, has been allowed to register by the captain of HMS Cumberland, based at Devonport Naval Base in Plymouth.

1. Been like that in the US military for years...

I knew a couple of Satanists in my squadron back in the 70s...as surprising as it might seem it's nothing new...

2. I met an ex-soldier who had that on his dog tags

He said he put it on the form as a joke and they actually stamped it on his tags. He was in the U.S. Army in the early 80's IIRC.
