Tell me about your 1st drinking experience

Me, I was 13 and drank a full glass of Bacardi - I threw up in EVERY room of my friends house, passed out naked in his bathroom floor, had a 4 day hangover and was grounded for 2 months - TOTAL NIGHTMARE

Last Day of School Party my freshman year in college. We started drinking right after lunch - I had never had more than half a beer or so up to that point, and so I didn't know what being "drunk" was. All I remember is having a shit-eating grin on my face the whole damn time and finding just about everything riotously funny.

I stopped drinking in the late afternoon, and so had the entire evening to sober up and thus no hangover. So my first experience was great.

Strawberry wine. It was fantastic. I can't believe I started so freaking young. At least now I'm not much of a drinker. It's a miracle I don't have a problem.

I had the shingles, and was in a lot of pain. I couldn't sleep because the pain was so bad.

My sister (who is 12 years older than I) came home VERY late, and saw that I was still awake and crying (we shared a room).

She poured me a glass of gin with just a splash of soda, and told me to drink it.

I don't remember much after that.

Started drinking beer.
Haven't stopped yet.

Helped that I started going gray at 16, am tallish 6'3" and weighed about 220 in HS, so I could buy just about anywhere (drinking age was 18 at the time)

Thanksgiving Dinner with my parents. I was probably around 10 or 11 and they let me have a small glass.

My friends Heather and Shannon and I got blown off by our male friends, because they had sure-thing sex lined up. (What can I say? We were all around 16.)

So, we stayed at Heather's house, and her mom told us we could have the bottle of gin that was in the cabinet, so long as we stayed in for the evening. Problem is...we were all such novices that we had no idea of what to mix gin with (we'd heard "tonic," but we didn't have any). So, we tried various mixers -- blue fruit punch, cola...by the time we got to orange juice, which I still wouldn't recommend but was the best of the lot...it didn't matter much anymore.

I know I threw up a whole lot, was hungover until the next evening. My parents found out maybe a decade later.

Odd thing is, I like gin now. I couldn't touch the stuff for years, though.

My dad used to give me sips of his beer or mixed drink - he felt it was important to learn how to drink as a social thing. Wierd to think of that now.

I drank my first full beer when I was ten years old and my dad gave it to me. We'd been putting up fence and it was hot out. He went in the house and got two beers, one for me, one for him. It felt very gratifying to drink it with him. Real healthy, huh?

When I was 14, he bought me an after dinner drink in a restaurant. Though it raised the waiter's eyebrows, he didn't question my dad who was a prominent local businessman. I would NEVER do that with my kids.

First time I got plowed was when I was 15 - I drank half a quart of Jack Daniels and many beers at a friend's birthday party. I was fine. Not even a hangover.

Took me many years to realize how unhealthy my relationship with alcohol was. I now drink occcasionally but never more than once every couple of weeks (at the absolute most) and never more than 2 drinks in a session.

Another friend and I kept ordering apricot sours from the bar cart...they kept serving us; they didn't care. Maybe we looked older, but I doubt it.

I wound up making out with her boyfriend. She's still mad at me for that, 30 years later.

in a YMCA camp in Kentucky. One of the senior counselors of legal age made a beer run and I ordered a quart bottle of Budweiser. I remember drinking it after the kids had gone to sleep, saying "I think I'm over my limit," and passing out on the bunk.

No, actually it was with a number of 1st timers, in high school. Typical "friend's folks are out of town" scenarios. Anyway, as 1st timers, we all drank WAY too much and acted like a bunch of idiots. You never know what kind of drunk you are until you get there. That's your Zen lesson for the day.

Mom would feed me thimblefulls of Southern Comfort so I'd shut the hell up and go to sleep.

Had some beer at a party I went to... again nothing eventful.

But THEN, when I ran away the first time... I stayed with these guys that lived in a college rooming house or whatever it's called. There were bikers there. They had Mad Dog. I drank a lot of Mad Dog. I later spray-painted the shower/tub enclosure purple. I didn't drink after that for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time.

A friend mixed a drink so strong that no one would drink it, so, to prove that I was really tough, I drank it.

That night, when I got home, I projectile puked on the living room wall, so my dad made me sit up all night long with a dishpan in my lap. Everytime I would try to pass out, he thumped me on the head.

The next morning, we had a family get-together in the RV at a water park. He made me sit inside, with all my aunts, and when it came time to eat the potluck lunch, he made me fix a plate, complete with deviled eggs.

I will never forget it. Horrific, but it didn't stop me from drinking. I think it made me drink more, because I was such a rebel as a teen.

I hardly drink at all, now, though.

Had an early Thanksgiving party at factory where I worked after school. The whole plant was having a good time and I had a few too many 7&7's, came home for weekly family dinner and :puke: all over the place. Got in big trouble for that one. Then again Boone's Farm and Tango made me fall off an embankment.

Watched "batman" and drank the whole thing, vomited, etc.

barfed, passed out several times, then shit my pants.

Not fun. Not fun at all.

Family values always! My first experience was with my family. After mass on Sundays, we'd stop off at our little country store and buy one six-pack of Olde English Ale (skunky as hell) and a bag of galicky Merry Mix. sigh * Happy times

My friends and I knew our dads drank rum and coke, but all we could find was vodka in my friends basement. Of course this was a old dusty prviously opened bottle. We didn't care. The three of us drank the whole bottle (about 3/4 of the 750ml bottle) with pepsi. It tasted foul.

We all got very drunk and got in a fight in the livign room. we broke a table and the television. Then we threw up. My firend's mother came home to find us trying to clean up the vomit, which smelled terrible. She called my mother, I was grounded and still hear about it 20 years later from mom.

I was ten and thought I had a bladder infection so my dad gave me a bottle of beer to induce lots of PISSING

the first time I got really pitifully hammered I was 16 and drank a bottle of Coke-tinged Jim Beam, waded into a lake and vomited, came home, fell unconscious.

when I awoke, there was a little trail of bile leading from the bed to the bathroom sink.

For some odd reason I can't stand the smell of Gin.

My friend told me it was just a rum and coke. She put 4 shots of that stuff in it, and I drank more than one drink. I'm lucky I didn't die.

I had to change what kind of hair spray I used after that, because the brand I was using smelled too much like alcohol.

at Kinderfest in Dinkelsbuhl Germany. I was 17 at the time. I had four liters and four brats in an hour. I was fine until I stopped moving, but when I did, boy the helicopter spins were intense.

No puking though.

My dad made a Triffle with a ton of rum on New Years Eve of 1984. I loved cake and I loved the fruit and the "sauce". I knew it had alcohol, but I didn't know what would happen if I went back for seconds or thirds (they didn't know I went back for seconds and thirds). First thing I did that year was throw up. :puke: My body couldn't take much booze. Still can't really.
