15. No, you get a Gold Star for correct usage
Bush didn't lose the dogs, after all. He just let them run loose. Presumably he knows where they are, even if he can't get them back.

But you're only wrong because you misremember your Shakespeare. He wrote: "Cry havoc! And let slip the dogs of war!"Julius Caesar Act III, Scene 1 No "loose" or "lose" was harmed in the writing of this play.

18. Beyond bad -- EVIL!!! EVIL, I say!!!
Remember, loose lips sink ships. So if you can't tell the difference between "loose" and "lose" then we'll end up with a lot of lip-less people and a sunken fleet.

13. Someone spoke of Hannity's "looser ass"...
... on another thread, and my immediate thought was "looser than what? His mouth? No, I think his mouth is looser than his ass." Loser ass is correct.

...on how well toned his posterior happens to be. It may well be a "looser" ass than that of other people, but I really don't want to go there....

I'm ready to retire from my post as Grammar Nazi. I don't even care any more. Go ahead, throw those apostrophes all over the page. Go ahead, let your pronouns disagree. See if I care! I'm planning to have a real weekend. No papers to grade! Yippee! Kerry On!
