"Boogie Nights" - anyone else love this flick?
Just bought the SE DVD this weekend and damn I love this movie!

About a subject I love (porn) and acted well, funny in many parts and a dry wit behind the whole flick. Great music and film buffs will note that it pays homage to a lot of other directors.

1. I love that movie....
It didn't get near the credit it deserved. I also liked Magnolia as well. Wasn't super nuts about Punch Drunk Love though.

8. I really liked it a lot
I thought Mark Wahlberg and Heather Graham were particularly good in it. I liked the first half of it best, I suppose.

Yep, it's a great one. I hear Marky Mark kept the prosthetic ... um ... member that he wore in that film and has it on display in his home.

14. I don't usually go for the dark side of comedy, but I thought
it was great. Everytime the guy would say, "have you seen my wife?" I know I'm not supposed to think that's funny, but I did. I also loved the van with the rainbow stripes and the little round window! I remember when those things were popular. I am a sick, sick person.

BTW - thanks!

20. Ooooh the LOVE VANS!
Growing up in suburban california during the 70's (well I was a youngin, but still noticed things) those things were ubiquitous...as well as roller skates, GTO's and Dolfin Shorts (YAY!)

I don't know why that line always sticks in my mind as the most important line in the script, but it does.

...and tell me that one wasn't the most fraught with tension of all of them.

23. Yes!
But you, taverner, knew I would.

It's one of three PT Anderson movies I love to the point of purchasing: Boogie Nights, Magnolia, and Hard Eight.

I think he's lost it now, though. Punch Drunk Love was shite.
