4. I never am able to sleep until at least 2 or 3.
Unless I fall down from exhaustion. :-)

Kid's sick. I am keeping vigil tonight. He's fretting in his sleep--I think the spinal tap wound is hurting. :(

7. I'm so sorry to hear that...
but kids are so much stronger than we are. I was quite often very ill as a child, and it didn't even bug me. If I suffered today like I did as a kid, I'd start a thousand sympathy threads and demand special treatment. But back then, it was par for the course.

Your son will be OK. I imagine you're suffering worse than he is.

did you ever read the stories about Kate Smith in her old-age? She was 270 lbs, wheelchair-ridden, and insisted on lifting her skirt to show off her junk to anybody who walked by.
