I voted for Kucinich
He is my Rep. It was a huge turnout and the local Fox station was there filming. I don't know why they were there, it's not in the heart of Cleveland or anything. There was one guy who was filling out something, it was a yellow card and they were filming him do it. I didn't get a chance to hear what was going on.
I saw some people on the corner holding up a sign that said "Vote for pro life" I wanted to pull up to them and tell them "I did vote for pro life, I voted for John Kerry, we have a much better chance of saving more American soldiers lives and even some more civilians in Iraq."

12. The same thing happened to me. I was going to vote Kerry but when I
got under the curtain and I looked at the names I had to go with the one who best spoke of my values.

22. Me too!
Maybe we were the only ones in the state, Chavez. I had been going for Dean because he seemed about as left as we could go and still be electable, but by the time our primary came around, Kerry was very much leading. Kerry's great and I'm voting for him today, but Kucinich represents my own values just a tad more, so the primaries were my last chance to really make that statement.

2. The yellow card sounds like a paper ballot.
I haven't seen one in NYC for a long time, but they were sort of orangy-yellow.

3. "Vote for pro life"
They don't care about human life, they only care about embryo life. Once those eggs become full-fledged human beings, the RW doesn't give a sh*t about them.

13. Thank you!
Dennis spent Sunday in Maui campaigning for Kerry, instead of at home campaigning for himself. May he continue to be a "torch bearer" for us in the House.

The Torch Bearers
October 12, 2004

Dear Friends:

The realities of our world today demand that all of us who have chosen to be the torch bearers continue to keep the flame alive.

As a campaign, we carried the torches proudly and bravely; and now, as a movement of ideas and ideals, we must continue to find and encourage more torch bearers, in our families, our neighborhoods, our cities, our states, our nation and our world.

We must embrace and give life and meaning to Dennis' call to be courageous. We must adopt and firmly establish his message - “Fear Ends, Hope Begins” - as the guiding light for all our future endeavors.

As Vaclav Havel observed in the Politics of Hope: “Hope is a state of mind, not of the world... ability to work for something because it is good, not just because it stands a chance to succeed.”

We can and will live the rest of our lives with determination, holding a state of mind that is hopeful and that shines the light of truth wherever it is needed.

We do this with a certain knowing:

* Knowing that we have made strong political strides because of our work together in this campaign.
* Knowing that together we will continue to make a significant difference in this beautiful and fragile planet of ours.
* Knowing that we will create a world that works for everyone, a culture of peace with non-violence as the organizing principle.
* Knowing that everything is possible.

We rejoice together as we remember our combined efforts and our legacy, a legacy that brought the people back into the political process, a legacy that proved that it is possible to freely and fully vote your conscience, a legacy that reminds us that our vote, and what we do, really does matter.

18. Dennis is a great person
He is one of the true politicians for the working class. He has been around forever. I remember him as our mayor when I was a kid and he seems to have never left this town.
It's great to be in his precinct now.

23. Awesome!
My rep was uncontested, but I voted for her anyway.

I really enjoyed working on the Kucinich campaign this primary season, even tho it was frustrating because so many people said they liked him best but were afraid to support him.

25. I worked on the Kucinich prez campaign....
Would really love to see my guy up there today, but as long as he is in politics in some way, shape or form, I am MOST happy.

Until the time I can see a Kucinich presidency, I happily cast my vote for Kerry. PLUS - I got to vote for that rockin' upstart Obama. That can just about make anyone's day :)

But today I voted for Kerry, and it was second only to voting for Dennis in the primaries. :)
