Post Here If First Time Ever Standing In Such A Long Line To Vote
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 12:17 PM by norml
Post where you voted also. I'm in Lincoln Nebraska. I've never had to wait in such a long line to vote before. Usually there's more people handing out the ballots than there are people there to vote. This is great!

4. 2002 was my first election
and I was a poll worker, so I was one of the very first to vote in the morning, and there was no line. So today's line is by default the longest I have ever waited in.

But it was very long.

6. One hour, fifteen minutes.

Every other election I've voted in (going back to 1996) the wait was no more than 15-20 minutes. But this is in Georgia, so I don't know if it means anything.

8. Just under an hour...
In Westerville, OH (suburb of Columbus). By far the longest I've ever waited in line, probably by a factor of 5.

11. Congratulations on your voting wait.
Though I'm not in a swing state,I'm glad that I was able to add to the popular vote and the mandate for President Kerry. Your vote though was extra important, thanks!

12. Edmond, Oklahoma
Took about an hour and a half, most were women and college kids. My friend in Midwest City (a larger, more diverse suburb of OKC) said he walked right in and out in 5 minutes.

13. Hour and a half from start to finish for early voting on Friday.
Hubby and the boychild voted today and were back in 30 minutes. They timed it to avoid the morning rush. And apparently there was. The poll workers said there was a line of folks waiting before they arrived to open up. I'm guessing noon and after work will be busy, as well.
