2. It literally is momentuous. It's as if time is almost standing still.
Forgive me the hyperbole...but that's exactly what it seems like right now.

4. Not me!
I am one happy Texan! I know Bush is going down, I can feel it!
Can't you feel it, too? You are going to wake up to a new world tomorrow, my friend. We will all be celebrating a Very Kerry Christmas this year, and a Happy Farewell to Bush New Year!

7. I'm like the rest of you. Maybe a loooooooong nap would
help.

I saw more people at our polling place than I've ever seen and lots more cars in the parking lot. More young voters among us old geezers. Lines were not long, but instead of two tables where the electioneer is checking names against ID's, there were four and more people were at each table.

No monitors. Only one Bush person giving out literature. She saw my bumper sticker and said to me, "I know you don't need this but would you take this since it concerns our state constitution." It was a brochure about changes in succession of governor is case of an emergency...as in an attack. I took that and went on.

I'm in VA. Voted in a new school in a relatively rural area. I did see one young man leave without voting because his name was not on the list even though he had a card showing that he was registered. Perhaps he had gone to the wrong place to vote. If I had not been in line and had seen him sooner, I would have gone to give him a number to call. He didn't appear to be upset. I hope he found the right place.

8. I have arranged my day around my nerves.
I did lots of work knowing that the farm this time of the year keeps me from spending an entire day doing other things (defensive? yes). I unloaded a truckload of hay this morning, blew off my other chores to go vote and will do my morning and afternoon chores this afternoon when I know my nerves are going to have me climbing the walls and constantly hitting the refresh button on DU. I love voting but I have to say this time was better than sex, it really was.

9. Me too
I felt great when I went to vote but then I got home and realized that I have nothing to do but wait. Now my tummy hurts and I wish I hadn't eaten breakfast.

I don't think I'm so much nervous as I am anticipatory. (that's a fun word - I think I'll say it again. Anticipatory. Kind of like anonymity, another of my favorites. Okay, losing it now.......) :silly:
