Police Chase Suspected Stolen Car

POSTED: 11:01 am PST November 2, 2004
UPDATED: 11:10 am PST November 2, 2004

snip...
Police said officers were chasing a suspected stolen car when it crashed through a fence and ended up in a pool on Woodmore Oaks Drive.

Both men inside the car were able to get out before it went underwater.

Authorities were left with the challenge of cleaning up the mess.

"That's one thing trying to figure out, how we're getting this car out of the swimming pool now that it's underwater. It's caused a lot of gas to leak out of it, so you can smell it as well," Citrus Heights Police Department spokesman Rick Pattison said.
