Happy Days Are Here Again
In 1932 FDR became president after a stunningly dreadful period of Republican mismanagement, corruption and incompetence. Banks had failed, the US Army had actually gone to war with World War 1 veterans at Anacostia Flats (Hooverville) and one out of four Americans was unemployed.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt said to the nation at his inauguration, "This great Nation will endure as it has endured, will revive and will prosper. So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself --nameless,unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance. In every dark hour of our national life a leadership of frankness and vigor has met with that understanding and support of the people themselves which is essential to victory. I am convinced that you will again give that support to leadership in these critical days. "

And the song that played as he swept to victory was "Happy Days Are Here Again"...

So long sad times
Go long bad times
We are rid of you at last

Howdy gay times
Cloudy gray times
You are now a thing of the past

Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So let's sing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again

Altogether shout it now
There's no one
Who can doubt it now
So let's tell the world about it now
Happy days are here again

Your cares and troubles are gone
There'll be no blues from now on

Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So, Let's sing a song of cheer again

Happy times
Happy nights
Happy days
Are here again!

5. Do not despair this AM
It seemed worse to me when Nixon won in 1972...but Nixon fell apart pretty damn quick...

Consider this....50% of the folks who voted for this corrupt drunk think he supports the Kyoto treaty....but he doesn't...

50% think pResident Shrimp's in favor of the International Criminal Court...but he isn't...

80% of the folks who voted for the GOP think Saddam had WMDs and that was a lie...

75% of the folks who voted Republican think Saddam was behind 9/11...and that was a lie....

60% of pResident Shrimp's supporters think that if Saddam didn't have WMDs or had nothing to do with 9/11, then we shouldn't have gone to war....

6. We need to keep hitting those stats.
Those people should be voting with us. Some of them believe in the Kyoto treaty and the criminal court. They are mislead and ignorant. We need to wake them up.

7. Exactly so....
We also need to point out that it was the people in cities, who are most in danger of another terrorist attack, who most rejected this incompetent and corrupt "leader." There's a reason for that.
