One mind at a time: why there is still hope, sort of
Remember my Republican friend, "RepubFriend" who I interviewed for the Lounge a few times? He's the one who would have voted for Bush in Florida in 2000, but he had to move as the elections were going on.

Anyway, in this election, guess who this self-proclaimed "born Republican" voted for?

Not Bush.

Not Kerry either. He voted for the Socialist Workers' Party candidate.

But anyway, at least not Bush. Which shows you, minds can be changed. If each of us keeps talking, and talking, and TALKING to our semi-reasonable Republican or undecided friends, co-workers, and acquaintences, we might be able to turn things around in these next four years.

There's still hope. Sort of, maybe. And if not hope--there's still beer.

1. Hope
Heard so many stories of Repubs voting Dem or non-Repub this time. The results so far are baffling to me. They go against the pre-election polls, the exit polls, and the anecdotal data.

Something is very fishy.

We have a lot of work to do.
