Trees are falling around me

My neighbor is having almost all of his beautiful maples chopped down today to make room for... a septic system. I'm listening to the repeated thuds of them falling and the roar of them being ground up. How appropriate is this?
I'm feeling so heartbroken......my broken heart goes out to all of you also.

This is what is sending me over the edge. I have to leave my home for awhile -the noise is so horrible. I think I'll go for a walk in the woods.
Thanks all of you here at DU. I've lurked for so long, only beginning to post this year. I've gathered so much strength from you and I know we'll all come back stronger as Patrice says.
