An apology to my sons....
Boys, I am sorry.

I am sorry we are mortgaging your future. I believe our generation honestly doesn't realize what it is doing. I just hope the nation that we are leaving you isn't to messed up to fix. We are sorry fot the cumbersome burden of debt and insolvency. Please forgive us for what we are doing.

I'm sorry that you will be touched by the horror of war. I'm hoping for a future free from forced conscription in the military service in support of an immoral war.

I hope you never see the horrors that our soldiers have seen. I hope you never feel the pain and grief of losing a cousin or friend as a war casualty. And I hope you never have to forever carry the guilt of having to kill someone in the name of your country. Someone who was once loved by his Mom and Dad.

I'm sorry that my generation in fostering hate and intolerance under the guise of trying to please their God. I can honestly tell you that your God does not separate his followers and teach them to discriminate against each other.

Although you both are too young to read, Dad just wanted to write this down so that someday you won't look at him with an expression of disdain and disgust, angered that we gave you a broken world that has no chance of being repaired.

I love you both very much. And Dad is so sorry.

3. Very beautiful. Thanks.
I have a 5 year old and 3 year old. It was very hard to find a way to tell my 5 year old. She went to bed hoping I would wake her up and tell her that we had won. It broke my heart.
