Well it appears Mr. Moonbeam has the FLU
103.5 fever, his whole body feels like he was run over by a truck, he is completely lethargic and shaking all over from chills.

Took him to the dr this morning because that high temp would NOT respond to anything. Dr. said most likely flu and we'll start seeing more and more cases.

Daughter is home from school today too with some kind of horrible stomach bug. I am washing my hands constantly and keeping them apart. Just what she needs would be the flu and just what he needs would be a stomach bug.

And just what I would need would be both.

Too bad all three of us had no access to flu shots. The dr said if his fever is still unresponsive in a few hours to bring him back it, it is worrisome that it is so high and we are unable to budge it at all. He has fallen asleep now after drinking TWO mugs of Theraflu.

Gawd.

2. I'm sorry to hear that....

...I really am...but do you think you could get your hubby to breathe really hard on B/C?

Hope they both feel better soon and that you stay healthy!

5. Try using cool washrags
on the head and neck, armpits especially. If it isn't working do the cool bath thing. Fevers are usually for a purpose but if it goes too high in an adult it isn't good. So sorry this is happening especially now.

He's asleep now, I hate to disturb him, but I'm going to do that when he wakes up.

6. I replied to your Philadelphia thread, BTW.
I hope Mr Moonbeam feels better soon. I imagine a whole lot of us will be getting sick soon, since we've been running ourselves ragged with no sleep or food.

7. Sorry to hear it
You and your daughter should take some zinc and vitamin C to keep yourselves from getting it.

God, he sounds really sick.

10. Good idea
I hadn't remembered that. She probably can't hold down anything right now, but I am off to take a multivamin and suck on a zinc lozenge.

Thanks!!

13. So sorry, Mrs. Moonbeam--
my hubby came down with the galloping guts and had to back out of a flight to a fun-filled week in the UK last night....

One quick note about the zinc--it prolly says this on the packaging, but you shouldn't take it within 30 minutes of vitamin C/citrus fruit/juice, as they cancel each other out.
STRENGTH!!
