I'm thinking three martinis. Or 2 Long Island Iced Teas. I'm at work now, but I will need something to make when I get home from this horrible, horrible day.

5. This makes me think of The Shining
When Jack orders up some of, what is it? the hair of the dog that bit me, or something like that. For me, a blood mary, if you want savory, a hot buttered rum if you want sweet and you're at an, um, er, ski lodge

10. Great movie
I'm thinking of an Irish CarBomb:

1/2 oz. Bailey's Irish Cream
1/4 oz. Kahlua
1/4 oz. Jameson's Irish Whiskey
1/2 pint of Guinness

"Pour Bailey's, Kahlua and Jamesons' in order in a shot glass (Bailey's at the bottom). Drop or slide the shot into a half pint of Guinness Stout. The shot, if dropped in carefully, looks like a Guinness inside a Guinness. The Carbomb is to be consumed in one long swallow. Mind your teeth as the shot slides forward. The incredible taste is worth the risk."

Mmmmmmm....

Today is a horrific day for the country.

17. "Hi Lloyd! Been away! Now I'm back!"
Lloyd: Good evening, Mr. Torrence. It's good to see you.
Jack: It's good to be back, Lloyd.
Lloyd: What'll it be, sir?
Jack: Hair of the dog that bit me.
Lloyd: Bourbon on the rocks.
Jack: That'll do it.

15. Larry Niven reccomends:
The "Busted Kneecap" for such occaisions. Its quite simple..

4 oz Bourbon in a hotel-room tumbler.
Fill tumbler with dry ice, swirl for 30 seconds.

Result, all the water freezes out of the bourbon, leaving carbonated, flavored, absolute alchohol, at about 40 below. Cold enough that you don't feel it going down, tho it isn't clear it actually gets to your stomach before getting absorbed.

You also wind up with a nice trail of movie fog trailing down from the glass.
