Holy shit. I was just awarded a research grant.

$2.5 million for the next 5 years. I proposed a research project to my company to look at advanced composite material airframe design. They actually came back with a figure larger than what I had proposed.

I'm getting the same feeling I got when I brought my first kid home from the hospital..."now what?"

Your research must have been exactly what the funding source had on their priority list. I just attended a grant writing seminar and that's one thing I learnt from it. :)
