Name something GOOD that's happened to you lately

I've been a little depressed lately, so I thought a postive things thread would liven me up:

Today I went on a field trip with my AP US History and Am Lit class and it was a blast. We went to this incredibly tiny theater and saw The Crucible. It was so small we were about two feet away from the actors in the front row! But it was a great performance. And at the risk of sounding like a squeeing teenager, the guy who played Proctor looked like Orlando Bloom. :) Then we got to go into St. Paul for lunch and then to the History Center. Man, it was awesome.

Also, this week my Am Lit teacher got his doctorate. He didn't even tell us; we found out from the sub.

So, tell something good that's happened to you that made you forget, if briefly, about the election.

My wife's rental car just got hit, following an accident last week, a monkey stole the white house from my guy, my VP's wife got breast cancer, and I found out the school I work at is closing next friday for financial reasons. A bad week all around!

Where do all the kids go then? Can they really just close in the middle of the year like that?

That's all I've got. Maybe the weekend will improve things. :shrug:

After sitting in front of my computer all year, I'm in pretty bad shape. :( So I went down and signed up today. It will also come in handy when the military decides to recall my old ass. :cry:

I know it sounds odd when some days i feel they are going to throw me in the big shower.Today I thought of who was going to take care of the troops when they come back .Who is going to understand and listen to the people when they realize how much they fucked up.Who will do the work,they can't or won't do because it requires imagination. and who is going to be the next SAINT ?

a local artist, was just over taking a few pictures of me playing a guitar. He's going to use them as a model for next years blues festival poster. I feel pretty good about that.:)

I didn't break any bones today.

for sweaters. Looks like it's gonna be a cold winter here and all my winter clothes from last year are too big. Anyway, I fit into a women's size small for the first time in my life. GO ME!

...I am back to work on my line of handbags. Christmas is coming and maybe I can make some extra money. I'll let you all know when I put up more stock on my website.

...I have a deadline (yikes...it's 11/7) for chapter six of my novel. I'm ProCrastinating -- notice I've got my professional ranking, complete with endorsement deals and t.v. talk show spots.

...it snowed today! Love to watch those fat flakes fall.

...MY SON IS COMING TO VERMONT FOR THANKSGIVING!!!! Since we moved to Vermont, we haven't had many visitors, so I get all excited when somebody decides to come on out from CA. I guess I'll be baking again!!!

...and the best... because my department secretaries love me, even though I am the "low man on the totem pole" -- I GOT A BITCHIN NEW OFFICE -- WITH WINDOW!!!!

Of course, all this I would gladly give up if the war was over and no one -- not an Iraqi, American or Pole (don't want to forget them) were to die in this insanity.

Can I get back to you on that?

(I've been venting about the election for months and had thought all along she hated Chimpy).
