back in the early 90s:

"Well, if yer lookin' to kill a man, they say it's best to get close, get a headshot, and use a .22 short round. It has enough power to get through one side of the skull, but not the other, so it just bounces around inside a lot and tears shit up."

And I still bought a gun from the guy.

I bought a .22 years ago for recreational use.

The first thing somebody said about having a .22 was, "Well, if you gotta shoot anybody, make sure it's a head-shot. Otherwise, you're just gonna piss 'em off."
