Married w/Children fans... season 3 set features different theme music
www.tvshowsondvd.com - main page has a link to the story.

While seasons 1 and 2 and the two 'best of' compilations have the original music, apparently the owners of the outdated 1940 Frank Sinatra want more money. So Columbia-Tristar are simply replacing the music.

2. Fucking copyright laws are unconstitutional...

In our constition it mentions something about monopolies for a "limited time" so that the creators can make some profit off of it.

Frank Sinatra is dead, he doesnt need any more profit off of this.

Generally when I hear the phrase "limited time" I think of a shorter period of time than "a lifetime give or take a few years."

3. I'm kicking this.
It's outrageous! Things like this really tick me off. It reminds me of how they've edited the logos off the shirts of Beavis and Butthead in the new DVD and VHS releases.

Sure, Married... With Children and Beavis and Butthead might not be the highest form of arm, but it sets a dangerous precedence.

4. Thanks for kicking. Also, and this is brutal,
with Doctor Who releases (DVD and VHS), music clips no longer than 30 seconds from groups such as The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac (from a song made before they got popular no less), and Jimi Hendrix had been edited out because of the GIGANTIC prices the artists wanted. Fleetwood Mac alone wanted $5000 for the 30 second sound byte of their obscure song...

The original copyright laws were fair. Ever since the the acceptance of corporate rule in law, the laws have been grossly turned to their favor.
