Alan Simpson from Wyoming ... He has some points about alienating some religious groups but why doesn't anyone consider how much they alienate the rest of us Americans??

Anyone else watching this??

If you don't think the U.S. is perfect you're unpatriotic. How can anything change (and it needs to, constantly ... static is dangerous for countries moving forward with time) if you're not allowed to even voice dissent???

Very few things are EVER black and white ... anyone who thinks so is fooling themselves.

23. Yes, Sullivan pissed me off
He pulled out the classic "but Chomsky supported the Soviet Union" line, which is complete bullshit. I only wish Maher or one of the guests pointed out that Chomsky has always criticized the Soviet Union as the archetype of an oppressive regime.

Also, Sullivan's quip about "some elements of the republican party exploiting the gay issue" was a bit disingenuous. Your party ran on a homophobic platform, Andy, wake the fuck up already.

It was a great show, though, beginning to end.

I was disappointed that Maher ceded Sullivan all his distortions of Chomsky. Great show on the whole though. Its gonna be rough during this hiatus. Who knows what kind of fucked up things will happen while Real Time is on vacation... kind of scary
