I had a great time out tonight---ask me anything!
I went out to this tapas bar, and had an excellent beef satay with jasmine rice and peanut sauce with a glass of white wine. It was sooo good :-) What made it even better was that the total price of that dinner came to $10.

Then I went out to a bar to meet up with my friends there. Due to the bad weather, there were few seniors around to do the pub crawl, so we just hung out in a booth, had a couple of Coronas, snacked on chicken tenders and fries, and shot the breeze on a gamut of issues.

I'm glad I went out tonight instead of staying inside to keep warm!

1. Glad you had a good time after Tuesday
I did the same thing last night. I really needed the change in perspective.

4. we went out, too
We happened to be in the area of a great Thai restaurant late in the afternoon so we decided to dine early. Picked up two bottles of wine and had salmon rolls and duck rolls with ginger sauce. For entrees, chicken with scallion/ginger sauce and coconut shrimp with mango sauce.

At home we had espresso and baklava while our two kitty cats sniffed our fingers ("hey, whatja' have for dinner?").

Because we were early, we were given a seat by the window. The window, floor to ceiling, looked out on an area of shops where we could see the merchants decorating their stores for the holidays. It was somehow restful to watch people going home, putting the work week behind them.

I couldn't believe that I actually liked the background music the restaurant played! Usually that's ummmmmm...an issue.

6. oooh, a tapas bar in noho?
Mind if I ask where, exactly? Sounds like something I'll have to try.
