My husband wants us to only speak German in public .....

we live in a small town in E. Germany and there are a growing number of Middle Easterners here. He's not the conspiracy type so this scared the shit out of me. I really want to put a sign on our car that says "we voted for Kerry".

Our friends from GA visited last spring and wore a Canadian t-shirt. Maybe I'll just say 'eh a lot.

I have a friend/customer who moved here from the Middle East 20 years ago and has worked as the director of a nonprofit to provide aid to third world countries. She has worked to help immigrants from all over the world with health care and early cancer detection. She said her board just abandoned her because of her nationality. This is disgusting. I will not live in this country with this crap going on!!

6. OMG, that's funny!

Guess that's what I'll have to do, since I speak only a little German.

My husband travels the world but he looks Scottish as can be and speaks very fluent Italian. Throws 'em every time. Helps to have lived in France and Italy for 20 years.
