Congratulations, gay and lesbian Canadians!

Saskatchewan will now join 6 provinces and 1 territory in recognizing full marriage equality. Same-sex marriage is now legally recognized in Saskatchewan!

There IS some great news in the world! :-)

So much of American culture is up there. Canada gets ALL of our movies...and yet...you either go to an art house or a select video store to see the films of Atom Egoyan, Don McKellar and other Canadian directors. There is a gross, huge discrepancy....they get all of our culture...we don't. Same thing with television shows. The Canadian cable channels carry American television...but I sure wish the situation was as balanced.

Quebec includes McDonalds and Pain Dore, which I love. I have rarely seen a restaurant which advertises as it's specialty "all you can eat" while most restaurants in the US give us large portions of pig slop and call it food. I can watch crappy US shows or news which does not include talking heads screaming at each other for no reason, much of the clothes sold there are not just for 15 year old who appear to aspire to be whores, there is actual fashion. People are polite a lost art in the US. So why wouldn't I love Canada?
