New presidential pal prepares a move into the White House

IF YOU want a friend in Washington, get a dog, as Harry Truman once said with his inimitable bluntness.

Now America’s First Family has not one, but two.

Fresh from his election victory but still needing every friend he can get, President Bush has added Miss Beazley, a one-week-old Scottish terrier, to the White House family.

The black puppy, a birthday gift to his wife, Laura, who turned 58 on Thursday, will join two other First Pets: Barney, another Scotch terrier, and India, a black cat. The dog was named after Uncle Beazley, a dinosaur in the children’s book The Enormous Egg. The family’s previous dog, Spot, had a distinguished political pedigree. Her mother, Millie, belonged to the first President Bush and “wrote” a bestselling book about her years in the White House.

President Bush and Laura should not own pets.
Have you seen the way he holds Barney when he exits Air Force One?
He holds a more than ten pound dog under his arm while he walks down the steps!

We all know that he can't even stay on a couch without falling! He has dropped the dog in public two or three times.

The dog pulls away from him on the lease all the time!

My mom is so upset to hear that they got another dog. She was watching a "Tour Of The WH with Laura" one/two years ago. As Pickles was regally walking from one room to the other she said,"Come along ANIMALS." She didn't even call them by their names! That is a real clue to her love of animals.

It is an insult to the pets and pet owners of the world for this family to get another pet to abuse.
