Any truth to the rumor that John Edwards is a cousin of Blake Edwards?
I heard recently that John Edwards is a distant cousin of Blake Edwards, and that in the new "Pink Panther" film with Steve Martin replacing Peter Sellers (to be released next year), John Edwards has a cameo as the President of the United States, a sort of in-joke scene where he asks Clouseau to remove the "Ws" from all the White House typewriters. If so, I can't wait to see this film!

4. I thought Blake Edwards was dead.......
He was married to Julie Andrews for decades, they got an amicable divorce, and he died in the late 80s or early 90s.

7. I never though PP was that good anyway
Now, A Shot in the Dark, the first sequel on the other hand, was absolutely brilliant and established the Pink Panther mythos completely, Kato, Chief Inspector Dreyfuss, Clouseau's love of bad disguises.

Any bets they borrow those elements of the later movies to improve this remake.

And not only is Mr. Edwards still alive but he is also still married to the wonderful Julie Andrews.
