Today, I did something I have NEVER done before--- I loudly, longly, publicly and soundly cursed someone in a public place. As I was coming out of the BP station (pack of smokes), a man driving this ENORMOUS pickup truck with both Bush-Cheney and Keyes stickers on it pointed at my Kerry bumper sticker and said, "Well, I'm glad that traitorous s.o.b. lost".

I lost it.

I whipped around and called him every vile, filthy and disgusting name I know, plus several I'd forgotten I knew. Ignorant. Bigoted. Elitist. Asshole. Motherf***er. Nazi. Etc... . I terminated my tirade by telling him just exactly what I'd like him to do with his truck, bumper stickers and all.

I think it's going to be a LONG four years. *sigh*

Last night, I had to sit right next to a Shrub voter.

He said he lived in Mass. most of his life and just couldn't stand Kerry. He said he disliked Shrub but had to vote for him anyway.
When people say that, it pisses me off even more.

The ones i want to strangle most are the "I can't stand Bush but voted for him, any way" voters!

These fuckheads make me wanna laugh if it went such an outrage. Kerry serves his country with honor and bravery, and Bush goes at great lengths to avoid and then sends good young men and women to die for his greedy friends.

I knew there would be assholes gloating over it - they treat the whole thing like it's a football game or something. Had Kerry won, I would not have been gloating to anyone - I would have been happy and relieved but I would not walk up to perfect strangers who had Bush stickers and taunt them. Maybe some of us would - I don't know. But it strikes me as so much a part of what they believe in to kick and deride those who voted for the "other guy".

I never start fights but look out if someone starts with me. I am sorry that happened to you. It is not good for any of us to be or get that upset but these are trying times. Yes, the next 4 are going to be next to impossible I am afraid. I am so glad to see you back. :hug:
