Sisters- and brothers-in-arms from the Vietnam War ...
How many of you attended a Bob Hope Show live? Where? When. How was it?

I did not get to see Hope. Of course, in the years before Vietnam I took a band on a USO show to the Dominican Republic during the revolution there in 65/66. I ask because of Al Franken's big committment to the Iraq USO show. I love Al. Oy vay!

1. I attended two
and they were terrific. The first was at Bearcat in 67. The sea of GI's stretched as far as you could see. Because we were about the only females there...they just pushed us up in front. The guys who brought us (by chopper) were stuck in the back. They weren't happy. But we were in the second row. It was so exciting.
Then when I was stationed in Okinawa in 71 he came there. I also had a front seat cause we were with the patients.
Two of the best memories from that time.
