If for no other reason than pissing off a lot of people that whine so much that the deserve it.

Nah, not really, but I think it will be a good flick. People think they know about the crucifiction of Christ, but really they have no idea of the punishment and suffering he was subjected to.

The Shroud of Turin may or may not be a fake, but the wounds on that figure are recognized as being quite realistic to what Jesus actually went through. It's hard to imagine human beings can do such things to each other. (yet I know it happens alot)

Thanks for the link. I have been anxious to see this.

It does look pretty gruesome, seeing him all bloodied up like that.

It looks really well done, it DOES look like a Caravaggio painting.

Can't wait to hear the whining about the mispronounced Latin!
