When I was a teenager and up until I was about 20 all I needed was for her to stand still.

From 20 until about 30 I was a "serial monogomist". I limited myself to one at a time, usually in some sort of a relationship, not necessarily longer than an hour-long rtelationship. I said "no" sometimes, I wanted something more than easy sex. I wanted sex with someone I liked.

From 30 until 48 I was in a monogomous marriage. I stayed too long, got our a year ago. I discovered that my instincts still worked and said "no" a lot and didn't say yes at all. Sex wasn't what I wanted, well I wanted it, as my marriage had been "dry" for a long time.

My boss told me to take a dip in the "girl pool" that works at the other end of the building. These are Veterinary technicians in our shelter, there're lots of them. They think us in Enforcement walk on water. I couldn't. Well I could have, that was made very clear to me, but it wasn't what I wanted.

This is a rambling post, sorry. The short answer is that I have standards. Sex for the sake of orgasms is masturbation, and often dishonours the other person involved.

There is such a thing as bad sex.

I like the being engaged part-we get to have sex when we get together without having to go through the potential rejection part.
