I wonder: Does Coulter, Limberger, Ingram et al practice what they preach
We know their names from the jokes we've made of their idiotic books: Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingram to name a few. They write their books about how America's morality is in a state of disarray because we elected Bill Clinton as President and he's married to Hillary Clinton, an independent thinking woman.

It makes me wonder, do these people practice what they preach? Do these people go to churh every Sunday and live a life free of sin and corruption?

Are the single neo-con writers patiently waiting until they're married til they have sex and are the married ones faithful to the vows they recited at their weddings?

Have these people stayed away from the ills of illicent drugs, excessive drinking and other vices that will lead us to the depths of hell?

I'm not normally one to judge others and yet when I read through some of these books (I'll read a chapter at a bookstore, I will not give them a dime of my money), it seems these people do nothing but judge liberals and cast us as sinners.

Personally, I could care less if these people have flaws if they weren't so busy writing books that expound every flaw that others not like them have. So I ask you this, do these people live the type of life they preach about in their books? Or are they merely 'whores' to the people they've sold their souls too in order to have the public careers that they have?

1. Good question
I know Rush is been married several times and rumored in the closet (not that being gay is wrong, but being gay and faking it by marrying someone of the opposite gender is rather unfair to one's partner).

Hannity- Don't know, but he strikes me as one of those conquest type of guys who wasn't a virgin when he got married by a long shot. Probably still out "conquesting".

O'Reilly- read Franken's O'Reilly chapter. He writes graphic sex scenes. (Again, graphic sex is wonderful, but don't call someone else immoral for what you do yourself.)

As for the remaining single gals who are 40ish. Like they're virgins? Like they never nailed a boss along their paths to "greatness". No way.

7. Rush in the closet???!!!
I think my head just officially exploded!!!!

know Rush is been married several times and rumored in the closet (not that being gay is wrong, but being gay and faking it by marrying someone of the opposite gender is rather unfair to one's partner).

And btw being wrong isn't faking it. Being wrong is getting on radio to some 20million listeners and spewing homophobic hate to a bunch of dittoheads who will believe the sky is falling if you tell them.

I've always believed that it's none of our business to out other people, but I also believe their is an exception to every rule!

3. Hell no
The neo cons use Christianity as a crutch. As long as they can go...Forgive me Lord for I have sinned....everything's good with them. I don't see the compassion that Jesus preached coming from the likes of them. So much for turning the other cheek or he who is without sin casting the first stone. They're a bunch of heartless bastards who's only Gods are money and power.

4. for some reason I doubt it,
and sometimes I'm really doubtful that these people even believe half the junk they spew about morality, culture, politics, etc. -- sometimes I wonder if they aren't just playing at it because they know it's such a money making racket. I mean, this rightwing punditocracy is in many respects a very profitable industry now, and (when I feel like being slightly paranoid) I think that may be all there is to it, a big scam.

5. Smelly Cats for the Lord
They are smug, and they are hypocritical.

I don't care one bit if they carry on like cats in heat or drink and drug themselves into stupor. It's the moral haughtiness, combined with their undeserved, mass-media-driven power, that I mind.

I judge them in a secular fashion, not spiritually, because whatever my spiritual imperatives are, they are out to soil my world, and I won't tolerate that.

I like "kitties", too, but they're not free to pee on my bed.

--bkl
Lord, forgive them, for they know not where the litter box is, but so help me, I'll kill the little f**kers if they don't learn.

6. Well
Ann Coulter's famous for her drinking habits, Bill Maher considers her his club pal and he makes no bones about his views on drink/drugs/casual sex.

Rush is on marriage #3, and there's rumors that he plays for the home team which would go against the hate he spews.

8. Oh I SERIOUSLY doubt they practice what they preach
You forgot mister moral majority himself Bill Bennett and his gambling addiction. :eyes:

Half the people wailing about Clinton's immorality and working on his impeachment were married and boinking someone on the side.

Hypocrites all of them.
