I BOLDED the words: "I am not leaving DU and this is NOT goodbye".

No offense, but I bolded those words precisely because I knew my intentions would be misunderstood. People on DU may be smart liberals, but sometimes their reading comprehension skills drive me through the roof.

What I quit was thinking that we have a chance against a rigged, phony system, so we might as well have laugh and say 'fuck 'em.' It's a waste of energy thinking there is even a democracy to 'save'.

Get involved in your community - you halfway stand a chance to make a difference there. The world? Let others drive themselves insane thinking they can 'save' it.

We had 10 inches of snow already in October, and when it is clear like tonight, gets down to 20 or so. In the winter, below zero.

We're at 7000 feet. Last night the south rim of the Grand Canyon hit 29. It is beautiful when it snows there.

This is the sacred land of the Navajo and Hopi.

Now for Phoenix, it IS hell. You can be assured it is way too hot there.
