MTV.com & VH1.com Exclusively Premiere U2's New Album a week early
for those of you who don't want to look for leaked tracks, here's an official preview:

NEW YORK, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- U2 fans wait no more! The long awaited album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb (Interscope) will make its debut exclusively on VH1.com and MTV.com a week in advance of its November 23 release. Users can log onto http://www.vh1.com to "Hear Music First: U2" and http://www.mtv.com to "The Leak" beginning Tuesday, November 16th to stream the entire album for free. Users will also have the option to pre-order the album and have it delivered on the day of release.

In addition, fans visiting VH1.com and MTV.com can access band news, photos and watch the video for the band's first single, "Vertigo." Additionally, visitors to VH1.com can view a video retrospective of favorite videos from each U2 album from the past. Finally, MTV2 will be airing "Viewer's Choice: U2's Greatest" premiering on Friday, Nov. 19th at 10pm ET/7pm PT. Fans are invited to visit http://www.MTV2.com now to vote for their favorite U2 videos to be included in the show.

VH1 and VH1 Classic exclusively aired the broadcast premiere of U2's newest video, "Vertigo" from the How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb album on October 28. The video is currently also in rotation on MTV, MTV2 and mtvU. The video for "Vertigo" was shot outside Barcelona and directed by Alex & Martin.

U2 is just the latest to join the wide ranging list of artists to premiere their albums on MTV.com's and VH1.com. Norah Jones and Sting were the latest big music acts to participate in VH1.com's exclusive advance listen program "VH1 Hear Music First." MTV.com's "The Leak" has featured exclusive album premieres from such high profile artists including Usher, D12, Nelly and Green Day just to name a few. In fact, as part of MTV's Spankin New Music Week beginning November 8th, MTV.com's "The Leak" will debut new albums by Destiny's Child, Eminem, Lil' Jon & The Eastside Boyz and Chingy. Both programs have proven to have a positive impact on the first week sales of many participating artists' new releases, even contributing to the biggest first week sales ever for some.
