2. I'm working late on Friday
How about Saturday. But, with one extra day, my expectations will be that much higher.

but a foot shorter, no facial hair, rounder face, a little bit more muscular, a little cuter, and ten years younger.

7. So I'm just going to stare at you the whole time
Most dates usually involve some sort of event/activity.

6. This is not a date I planned, but the man who DID plan it was really
creative and romantic!
We used to live in a spot with a river running through the back yard, and an abandoned bridge just downriver at the edge of the property. The bridge was no longer safe to drive on, and had been totally blocked to traffic for years, but it was ok to walk on; very picturesqe old iron bridge with wooden plank surface, spanning a river between tree-lined bluffs.
One evening a gentleman stopped at our place and asked if we minded if he planned a romantic dinner for two on the bridge! We didn't own the bridge, but since it was practically in our backyard (and we often used it as a deck!) we thought it was very nice of him to ask.
So, one night he brought his sweetheart out there, and he had set up a round table with a long pink tablecloth, two chairs, a lovely vase of flowers, some wine, nice tableware, etc. They sat up there and had some wine and enjoyed the view, and then a little van from a local caterer pulled up and they were served their meal.
I thought it was the sweetest thing!

It was our wedding anniversary that day, and when they were leaving they stopped in and gave us the vase of flowers...

Lovely people, romantic idea - it was so cool!

10. I was an undergrad in college and this really cute grad student asked
if I would like to FLY out to dinner as he was a private pilot. I was so impressed, much better than the dates which usually involved drinking beer and then getting groped while the roommate's out. I of course said yes. The night came and he picked me up, I was all dressed up and so was he. Nothing flamboyant just a really nice jacket and tie, no less. Driving to the airport, we listed to music and talked and then the Basketball game came on and HE TURNED IT OFF WITHOUT PROMPTING. Left from a really small airport which had virtually no lights. Before we left, I said if anything goes wrong don't tell me. Flew to another town and had dinner at their local airport. It was a beautiful clear night. The conversation was interesting and the flight home uneventful, or so I thought. We landed and taxied to the tie down area and after turning off the engine, he told me the Landing lights were out and he couldn't see anything. If he had not told me I would never have been the wiser. What a guy.
