My bf finished Halo2 in 12 hours of play time
That sucks, doesn't it? The most anticipated game of the year - perhaps of all time - and 12 hours of play? It was expected to sell 100 million dollars worth the first day - there's gonna be a LOT of disappointed people.

Of course, there's plenty of replay value and cooperative playing so he'll still play it, but damn... 12 hours? You can't finish a Crash Bandicoot game that quickly.

1. That seems about the norm for FPS games
The online play is what will give it replay value.

4. I suppose
He didn't seem upset. I don't like FPS's myself, so I don't know what's standard.

But it's hard to imagine getting so excited for so long over a game that's over so quickly.

6. That's why I can't wait to get the new GTA game
If you do everything possible in the game it'll take you days of constant play to beat it.

7. I played GTA San Andreas
I rented it last weekend (waiting for Birthday to buy it) and I got through 5% of the game. I kept forgetting about missions cause I wanted to beat up people to get money to get a new tattoo.

Game was great fun. I like it better than online games cause you can put it down anytime.

2. I played it for two hours today on "easy mode".
I couldn't even figure it out until I switched the up/down perspective control. I'm used to flight sims. Looks like a great game, but it'll take me a while longer to get the hang of it. Then I'll go back to "not a wuss" mode.

5. Give him a little credit
It would doubtlessly take me 12 months.
Maybe he has a sharp deductive mind.

Confront him about that superior hand coordination though.

8. heheh
it'd take me even longer. I can't do ANYTHING in Halo. I just can't get a handle on the two-thumbstick controls used in all FPS games.

I like action, strategy and rpg's.
