Honestly I don't. Perhaps I should be grateful that I'm not standing in a line somewhere waiting to shell out $50, eh? ;) I am so backwards sometimes that I scare even myself....

1. HAHAHAA ha h. . .
Oh you saved $50?

I've seen the previews buy don't plan to get it. I spent my budget on The Sims 2 (waiting for b-day for GTA San Andreas)

6. I'm a PC gamer so I couldn't care less about Halo 2.
I didn't think Halo 1 was anything that special. We've been doing that in PC world for years, only with better graphics and more content.

7. I'm with you...
and my son laughs at me!

He put down a deposit for it months ago. Now he's decided to wait on it...I don't know why really. It's all a mystery to me.

Bloodrayne 2 is the current game of the evening here...not for me though...

9. Halo is big
I make video games for a living, so keep a fairly close eye on the market. Halo II is an excellent game, from both a gameplay and a technical standard.

Now, since you say you don't know what it's about, let me give a quick overview. It's a first person shooter - you see your gun, basically, as you move about, and kill bad guys. The graphics are excellent, and there's a sci-fi story/premise there as well. Sorry for the quick rush on that part, but the story side doesn't come anywhere near, say, Half-life.

No, they shine in multi-player. They've added yet more modes to it, and can support linked 16-person play. It is astonishingly smooth, reliable, and very fun. They are setting the standards for multiplayer deathmatch on consoles. If you enjoy that type of play, I'll recommend the game strongly.

10. Nope.
I've really only played Day of Defeat. But DoD has lost its thrill since the War President kicked off his campaign to rid the world of evil-doers. Not to be confused with evil DUers. ;-)

14. Oh, those were superb
I still love the Infocom games. They were brilliantly done, and had a great sense of humor. I remember Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy with great fondness. I think that sense of humor is one thing missing from video games at the moment.

Oh well, we've still got Zork.

http://www.latz.org/infocom/index.shtml#ZIP

download the interpreter you need and you can find the games out there on the net. It's like stepping back into the 80s!

28. I loved Zork
Those Infocom games were great. The youngsters aren't and won't know what they're missing. They combined two things I love: reading and playing video games. Like reading books, I can visualize the worlds the way I want to, and make the characters look and sound the way I want them to, and in addition, I can control them to a point. Those were my first video games. Ah, memories...

26. Does it have something to do with Nine Inch Nails?
I've been hearing about this too, but I know nothing about video games. I do know NIN albums are all numbered sequentially as Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3, etc. so that's immediately what comes to my mind when I hear about it. I'm probably way off though...
