Freeper in my class feels oppressed by women, poor, gays and minorities

Today in Biblical Interpretation, we were looking at socioeconomic and liberation criticism which is taken from, you know, all the things Jesus said about helping the poor? Anyway, since this mode has a tendency to be taken up by the oppressed, we were studying how they took it up and what the basis was. My professor was saying how he believed it to be an authentic means of interpretation. Anyway, this asshole in my class, the same guy that said Pell grants should only be given to public school students and whose friend called me a communist, says he does not like this interpretation because "they" are leaving him out "just because he's a white male who happened to be born to parents with some money". Ugh.

On Edit: He called me a communist...I wouldn't have minded Marxist.

'Your guy' needs to be taken out in the middle of nowhere (unfamiliar area/no friends)...without money, credit/debit card, phone card, et al....and have a REAL experience. Please report back how well he does. :-)

They're catching them up because they weren't born white and male to parents with money. In another world, we called them privileged. In another world, the privileged expressed their gratitude, sometimes called blessings, by helping those less fortunate. We called them "moral values".

His chapter "Kill Whitey" is amazing. I read excerpts from it to my United Methodist Women's study group (on racism)! This is excellent stuff!
