My old handle was okay, but it was chosen in haste when I first signed up on DU -- not much thought given to it.

KrazyKat is far more reflective of who I am -- I have a strong connection with felines in general, and a love of humor that includes an abiding appreciation of the art of George Herriman, the eccentric creator of Krazy Kat.

5. I missed a few days on here and when I came back...
...a lot of people had changed their handles. Why did this happen? Some sort of post-election political born-again thing?

That, and my registration was done hastily, as I didn't have the time to be clever(I was at work during my indoctrination.)

Then I was listening to Lou Reed's New York album after the election right around the time the name change amnesty was announced. Strawman seemed appropriate. The song pretty much describes how I feel and the word describes every argument coming out of the Republican echo chamber.

Another one in the running for my new handle was "Side Hatch" in honor of the D.

10. Mine had my real name in it and it wasn't clever. After the election,
I drew a bunch of sheep on white paper with a Sharpie then cut them out and taped them on the back window of my car. They have bands around their fluffy bellies that display a dollar sign $.
I am so proud not to be one of them.:hi:
