Found a list of Conservative "stars" this website encourages you
to support. These include such "big names" as Jim Nabors. Orson Bean, Delta Burke, I know this will cut into your entertainment spending but try and refrain from giving these "stars" anymore money.

for many years.

Nabors is a hell of a singer, and he knows how to throw a party.

What criteria did they use to compile this list?

Maybe just "pile" is a sufficient explanation.

6. A few names have been taken off that list since I last saw it
My first thought was Michael J Fox? Uh . . NOPE

Derek Jeter was on it last time I saw the list and I'm quite sure he isn't a conservative. Sure enough, his name is off it now. So they must update it as they get more information.

LOL

4. before this gets long and drawn out, please remember...
... the measure people use to arrive at these conclusions is very suspect.

Example: Someone once said Destiny's Child (on this list) were conservative simply because they performed at the 2000 inauguration.

38. These names are suspect to me:
Any info on these?

Dolly Parton - I've heard her talk politics. She sure has no problem with homosexuality, and I think she was against the war.

Lyle Lovett - really? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

James Earl Jones - again, really? Wow. He must not have learned much from working on "Matewan" with John Sayles.

Dennis Hopper - I guess the dude IS crazy. Still, what was Easy Rider then?

Michael J. Fox - Uh, he campaigned with Kerry, no?

David Lynch - What?! That doesn't seem possible

George Lucas - The guy is in the midst of explaining to the country exactly how fascist empires emerge from democracies while no one is looking. How can anyone who understands the concept of a Phantom Menace be a Republican?

John Malkovich - I'm stunned.

Bob Geldof - The guy who started Live Aid? This seems impossible.

Fleetwood Mac - Didn't they all used to sleep in one big bed?

Adam Sandler - I guess I believe it. Jerk.

Paul McCartney - um... What?!?!? Is Ringo the last Beatle left?

9. The fact that the first sentence I read...
was this: "While we do not advocate Hollywood Stars or Professional Athletes voicing their opinion about their personal political views..." is enough to make me puke.

"We do not advocate..." - what a bunch of arrogant blowhards. I'd like to write to them and ask WHO GIVES A SHIT if they "advocate" celerbrities' using their right of free speech or not. Give me a break. And the crack about Dems thinking government should "control everyone's lives"? Uh huh. They should ask their fascist dictator...er...president about that.

I should know better than to read garbage like this. I'm easily pissed off by conservative whackjobs.

Someone should also tell them that Nell Carter is dead and they should hold their breaths waiting for her to come out in support of the Repugs.

11. Trey Parker isn't a Republican
He's Libertarian (not Libertarian-Republican, either).

The right likes to claim him as one of their own, because they think his criticism of Hollywood liberals makes him one of them, but that isn't the case. The left thinks Trey hates them, too, beacuse of this portrayal. That isn't really the case.

Team America: World Police, while being critical of the anti-war Hollywood liberals, was equally as critical of the Neocons and the lack of conscience they display in policing the world.

29. just in from the cold...
This is my first post on this message board. I was a regular gadfly on celiberal.com for better than a year. I find the notion of boycotting any performer due to his/her political persuasion asinine. I could never convince the right wingers on that other message board of this.

Personally, I think most of the "conservative" performers are/were C average performers at best.

I'm more into directors when it comes to film, producers when it comes to TV and the individual artists when it comes to popular music.

As I said before, this is my first foray into a "liberal" message board. I found it to be great fun to debate with the right on their own turf. Lately, though, they are too busy high-fiving and chest thumping to be anywhere near rational. They have also frozen me out because I said that their blind loyalty to all things Bush is not merely sycophantic, but they would lick the sweat off GWB's balls and call it Napoleon brandy! They found that beyond the pale, even though they called Kerry a traitor!

Ah, the mysteries of life!

Nosmo King

25. Sounds like a rehash of the Celiberal website
So many of the stars on their list(s) are liberal that it could almost pass as a gag site.

Orson Bean? He's an Old-Left Lefty and a Reichian.

Wanda Sykes? She is merciless to Bush.

Bob Geldof? Huh?

James Earl Jones? Paul McCartney? Paul Sorvino? Billy Bob Thornton? John Travolta? Donald Trump? Has the webmaster lost his mind? These are all very liberal stars!

I suspect that where there was no "conclusive evidence" of a star's libbrulism, and the compilers found the star had expressed outrage at the 9-11 attacks, the star entered the right wingers' pantheon.
