A ferocious Palmetto bug just out smarted me
He flew up on my wall and when I went to smack him with a broom, he disappeared. I think he's a republican. He hissed the word "exa-a-a-a-a-ager-a-a-a-a-ation at me.

Shit, I'll never sleep tonight.

4. Funny thing I have noticed about FL and bugs/rodents.
Hi Gray,

We moved to St. Pete from Omaha a couple of years ago. My GF and I have had a few laughs about Floridians and their "nice" names for things. Like Palmetto bugs, are they the brown things that look just like a roach? Caaaak! Also, rats aren't just rats here, they are fruit rats. What's the difference? Just a curious thing we have noticed. Every month we spray around the outside and use granules to keep the critters out, we also have to use flea drops on the dogs all year round to keep the fleas away, other than those small chores, oh and the hurricanes and Bushies, it is heaven here.

5. It sucks here.
The only good thing is the weather and the dollar movie theaters. Other than that, the roaches and palmettos have a field day in our houses and the mold attacks you like a pitbull in heat.

And wait til you meet the armadillos. They personify the stupidiy of the republicans in this fine red state.

If you're ever in Sarasota, let me know. We can meet at the Sarasota News & Books Store, the only safe haven for liberals.

Same goes for you if you are ever in St Pete, we have not been to many places too far from here yet, moving from Nebraska we love it here. Compared to there this is a liberal oasis, truthfully, I think St Petersburg is a pretty liberal area. I can tell you when we moved down driving through Northern Florida was a little scary for two lesbos, way too many rebel flags around for my comfort. You are right, the weather is great.
