10. Absolutely. and ALL inclusive
I just don't understand the Enterprise bashing. I am a die hard fan, I have TOS 2-3 on pre-order, all TNG, DS9, and STV on DVD. Amazing what you can find on a trip to China ;). And all the movies. I even bought a 400 DVD Sony player to house it all, and control it via my computer, indexing every episode with info, trivia etc.

I just finished watching Enterprise, episode the Augments. I have to admit I am hooked. I Tivo every episode and look forward to Friday nights.

Some of the disdain for the series comes from die hard STV fans upset by the transition and loss of their preferred series. I did the same thing with TNG and DS9. When TNG started, I hated it, it was not the TOS I grew up with, just a weak imitation. After season 3 or 4, I become hooked. However, when it ended, DS9 become the unwanted stepchild. I have recently become addicted to DS9 and have the whole series. I now, cannot understand, why I avoided this excellent ST addition. I have STV indexed on my player but have not explored any episodes, as yet.

Anyway, Yes, I would be in favor of a Star Trek group, good and bad. Even if the Enterprise bashers are warped, no pun intended.

But I admit I got used to him. He became more human over the years, maybe the beard? Anyway, I hear you, I had a strong visceral dislike for him when I first watched, but now find him to be a strong character.

Count me in. Each series is a write-off in the first two seasons.

Voyager sucked. The rest are great.

Pre-Bush (when I was employed) I used to interview manager candidates by asking who was their favorite Trek captain, and why.

I never hired a "Kirk" or "Janeway". The "why's" indicated that the candidates all had character flaws.

Capricious? Probably.

BTW, I love HypnoToad's Blakes Seven photo!

36. I did the same thing
I loved TNG, and when it ended, I watched a handful of DS9, and left the series. I recently discovered DS9 and am very addicted, what was I thinking, this series is outstanding? How about ST Voyager? I have yet to explore this series, but bought the whole thing on a trip to China recently.

39. Absolutely
I Tivo all Star Trek, that is TOS, TNG, DS9 and Enterprise. STV is not actively running in my area. I find that I gravitate toward DS9. What are your feelings on Enterprise. I have recently discovered the series and must admit, I am hooked. However, it is much maligned among trekers.

41. What little of Enterprise I've seen, I didn't care for...
I'll admit, I've probably been influenced by the negative atitude I see here, but the few episodes I've watched have been really BAD. I tried again tonight, with the Brent Spiner character, but half way through, company arrived so I gave up.

Overall, my impression of Enterprise is VERY skeptical but willing to give it a shot.

43. Keep trying
The series tends to involve "arcs" or a series of episodes with a common theme. I got hooked with the Xindi Arc, I was captivated by a planet filled with sentient beings which evolved different lines, akin to our different species.

I liked the first Spiner episode, they go back to Orion, which was featured in ST TOS, but without much exploration. Plus the visuals were outstanding. The second episode with too soap opera, and the third was good, but given to cheap gimmicks at the end.

Overall, the series is worthy of support, but not perfect. But what incarnation was perfect?

Skinner has suggested we broaden the focus to include all sci-fi?

Your Thoughts.

We could compromise and call it the "Star Trek and Sci-Fi" Group, sort of a best of both worlds? </pun>
