Watched "The Clearing" last night....
I thought it was good, sort of a slow-moving thriller as opposed to the
usual shoot-em-up special effects kind.

A review of the movie I read when it first came out said it was hard to
watch because looking at Robert Redford's aged face was too depressing
a reminder of what will happen to even the best looking of us. I actually
thought he looked great for a guy who is, after all, 68 years old! We
should all look so good at that age.

1. I thought it was good too...
Liked the cast and the slowness - thought Redford was very unguarded in this and a credit to him for not minding looking old...it happens to all of us you know...

Mirren is such a great actress - just wish there were more scenes between the two of them - thought there was good chemistry...

Dafoe - always good...

4. It was really interesting the way....

the two different stories (Redford in the woods, and his family back home)
followed a completely different time frame--the woods one happening all
in one day, and the family one happening over several days or even weeks.

2. Haven't seen it yet
But saw Redford the other day and thought he looked damn good. Sure he isn't the young beautiful man he once was but he looks just fine for a 68 year old.
