Poll question: Coke or Pepsi?
Screw these deep yak vs thong type Lounge controversies; let's go for the truly trivial!

I'm all about the Pepsi, but then, I used to eat 10X sugar with a tablespoon, so I'm clearly their target demographic. Whaddayoothink?

They are both liquid crack...
that will surely turn my bones into dust by the time I'm 40, but with that said, I'm a Pepsi drinker!

I'm not that big of a coke/pepsi fan unless it's with whiskey.

5. Without a daily Pepsi...
I would shrivel up into a ball of goo and die.

But I'm weird. I prefer Pepsi in a can, but Coke in a plastic bottle or tap. Pepsi is nasty on tap. That said, Pepsi is my favorite and while I miss the old glass bottles (which is actually the way it tastes the best) I buy cans.

9. I don't know what Coke gives
but Pepsi gives 100% of its political contributions to republicans.

WON'T be buying THAT brand.

Coke probably does too, so it's store brand soda for us.

Actually we should probably just give it up--save money and drink water.

16. Is Jolt still around?
It was good Cola. Sugar vs cornsyrup - coke (and pepsi) in other countries tastes better too - because it is usually made with real sugar. And this is the one American extravagance I approve of: LOTS of ICE.

12. Local/small soda makers.
Stop lining the pockets of Coke and Pepsi. Both have long histories of strike breaking, distribution wars and price undercutting (which trickles down to the workers, I'm sure the CEOs ad stockholders don't take the financial hits), in Coke's case links to murder and kidnapping in Central America. (www.killercoke.org)

Besides, soda is crap for you. Rots your teeth and stomach lining. But knowing that we are generally addicted to soda as Americans, try a local manufacturer. Here in Colorado, I recommend Tommyknocker's Sodas.

But I've read some scary stuff about nutrasweet (sugar too), so I switched.

Tastes good tho.

34. Gatorade!
It even makes a good mixer. (Don't ask)

I prefer the orange or lemon-lime, but I'll drink almost any Gatorade if it's put in front of me.

Love Pepsi, can't drink it anymore--one of my meds makes it taste really nasty. I like root beer as an alternative, or the old standby, iced tea.

...but am convinced that it's all a conspiracy to keep us addicted to caffeine. The only root beer with caffeine (Barq's) is bottled by the Coca Cola company. A coincidence? I think not.

I drink a four-pack every other week. I do have a special love of Coca-cola though, but real coke with sugar. Diet Rite White Grape Soda (with Splenda) is good as well.

44. My answer was coke
but I drink pop once or twice a month, other times it is either green tea or water. If I do drink pop it is coke but it must be from a glass bottle. There is only one supermarket in our area that sells coke in the small glass bottles so I buy a couple of six packs -- that will get me through the year unless my kids visit me. They don't drink that much pop either. It is funny I never refused or encouraged pop, candy, sugared coated cereals or other junk foods. They ate what was available. Today both my 24 and 30 year olds eat healthy, sugar is not their priority. I guess the attitude in our house was "whatever, this is what is available."

Guess they have the same attitude. I love my coffee though, neither of my children like coffee, they prefer water. Way to go!

I never pushed my priorities on them, they found their own likes and dislikes without my interference. They learned at a young age to care for themselves in case something would happen to me, both are self sufficient. They are both strong, that's all I ask from them. Shrub probably wouldn't like this. My kids are tough.

THANK YOU LORD!!
