Muhammad Yunis spoke at my college today, ask me anything!
If you don't know, Yunis founded the Grameen Bank which provides loans to the poorest people without collateral. His customers provide all the funding for the bank and have the highest return rate of any bank in the world. He started it in 1983 in Bangledesh and now copycat forms of it have spread to nearly every country in the world, including the United States. He said half the people in the program have left poverty.
