Yes, Elad rescued the soul of Armstead and resurrected my spirit from eternal oblivion in the pits of Cyber Hades.

Okay okay, I haven't been captured by the born aginers, and I'm not starting a new Church of the Elad.

Here's the real-world tale here...Other than some lurking and an occasional post, I've away from DU from a while for a combination of reasons. Mostly because of personal busy-ness with other things.

But also, I had one of those cyber screw-ups with my computer, and lost a lot of stored information -- including my DU identity information...I created a new account as Armstead 2, but it just wasn't the same being a newbie again. So I asked Elad if he'd help me get access to my old account, and he obliged quickly.

So, thanks Elad for resurrecting old Armstead.

Some of us are very tired and probably need a break...fresh troops but ones with some "historic DU perspective" are needed to fill in for the coming battles that some of us are finding very hard to cope with being so tired....tired....tired....

One of the few compensations from the recent electoral debacle is the removal of that weight of imminent urgency. That obviously doesn't mean it's over, but at least means the next deadline is far enough off that there's time to "smell the roses" in the meantime. Or something like that.

At the moment I've got a really bad cold, so all I can smell is a lot of Vicks Vapo Rub at the moment, but you get the idea.)
