When the hero chokes the bad guy unconscious or knocks him out, they ALWAYS turn their back on them, giving said bad guy a chance to come to and attack again?
Probably so the bad guy can later have the good guy all but defeated, but rather than just pulling the trigger and winning he decides to explain why and how he did everything giving the good guy the extra time he needs for his plan to come together and wind up winning. Man, that was one hell of a run on sentence.
