Guess who is EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH!

I know this may come as a surprise but I have been named Employee of the Month twice.

What did I do last month? Oh I just got a reportable condition removed from our FINANCIAL AUDIT!!! That's all

Oh my co-worker has been filling two jobs while our purchasing person is out.

Do either one of us get it? NO!

The $150 prize is to be split up amongst...................the Department Heads THE STINKING BOSSES!!! :grr:

Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of having "Employee of the Month"??

Mind you one of these Dept. Heads is my boss who "doesn't believe in 'Employee of the Month'" Gee wonder what he will do with his $25.

For me it isn't the money it is just the "Hey thanks" part of it.

My boss is a real Repub too. Pictures of Reagan in his office and everything....doesn't believe in Employee of the Month. :eyes:

It's one of the multitude of reasons I left my former company. I don't care about the stupid award, what I care about is the losers that they do award it to. In corporate america, even if you're as dumb as a bag of hammers, you will do just fine as long as you're pretty and perky.

All you need is for someone to say "That guy is SHARP" after their first meeting with you and you are in like Flynn.

I used to be one of those SHARP guys but after two bosses in a row fired me (Beware the "consultants" if you are the low man on the totem poll) I said to hell with them and got a good safe government type job.

bring a gun to your "consultation" make sure they know that you have it and will use it, i got one to crap his pants

Sitting down across the table (Office Space-like) saying "Hold it a minute" reaching into the small of your back and pulling out a 9MM laying it on the table pointing across the table and saying,

"Okay I understand you wanted to talk to me"

and i said "pardon me gentlemen this thing is rather heavy, i just put in some teflon coated black talons, they weigh more than regular hollow points, what with the blades that come out, ya know"

For a temp agency....but never actually got anything for it. I saw my name in the newsletter they put out, and called to see when I was getting whatever I was getting. I was told that they were "way behind" in giving out the prize...never told what the prize was, and never got it. Go figure.
