Dumb movie question.
When reviewers say.. This movie is baaaad.. wait for the DVD.. Isn't that a stupid thing to say? WHY would you pay MORE to buy a DVD of a movie that was not worth paying the price of a movie ticket?

6. I would never watch television if it weren't for my DVD player.
I have no patience for broadcast schedules or commercials. I work out in the evening in front of DVDs of past seasons of television shows. Right now I'm on season 3 of Alias on DVD. Given the joys of putting kids to bed, my workout can start anywhere from 8:30 - 9:30. DVD is tv on demand for me.

4. If a movie is baaaad, I don't want to spend either $7 on a ticket
$5 to rent or $19 to buy. If it's bad, just say "skip it!"

7. Well 'bad' is someone else's opinion
I've seen movies that were described as classics which I thought stunk; conversely I've seen 'bad' movies that I thought were fairly interesting...I actually saw the infamous movie 'Heaven's Gate' in its uncut form in a theater many years ago and didn't think it was the TOTAL disaster that all the critics made it out to be. I'll watch a 'wrongheaded' movie over a 'brainless' one any day...
